Went back to Shibuya. This time the weather was nice compared to the rain the other day.

The Hachiko statue, a popular meeting place. We didn't take any photos with Hachiko...a bit cheesy....? We should have....

View of the Shibuya crossing from Marks City. It is not really as grand being there. The distance of the crossing is actually quite short and not as huge as it seems on screen. We wanted to get to the higher levels of Excel Hotel/Marks City, which from my research, we can get an aerial view of the Adidas Football Park. But we couldn't find any lifts going to any levels higher than level 6. I thought Marks City is below the Excel Hotel?! Maybe i was wrong. We were kind of exhausted so we gave up looking and moved on to the other areas in Shibuya.

The Loft store was quite interesting.

A ramen store we had lunch in. Eateries with these coin-operated order machines are preferable, especially for non-Japanese speaking customers like us.

We intend to go to Roppongi Hills only as there really isn't much in Roppongi. It is a bit like Bangsar in KL, an area dominated by expats and foreigners. Roppongi Hills is not really interesting, upmarket stores with upmarket prices. The icon of Roppongi Hills below:

Able to view Tokyo Tower from Roppongi Hills. We decided not to go to the Tower itself since there are many more interesting places to visit.

Koban is police station or kiosk. Generally, we felt quite safe so far.

We left Roppongi and decided to return to Akihabara. We didn't get enough of this place on the last visit.

This is how most of the stores in Akiba and Tokyo generally are like - levels and levels of goods. We were already running out of breath by level 3 and will struggle to get up to level 5 and there will usually be another flight of stairs leading further up. We learnt a trick later - take the lift to the highest floor and then make our way downwards..which is obviously less strenuous. But this can be a problem sometimes because there is usually a queue waiting for the tiny lifts. I guess we are not the only smart ones...

I really like the vending machines in Japan....convenient and interesting
